Closer To Free 2021

Alyssa, my mom, dad and I will be taking part in this year's Closer To Free bike ride virtually. We are going to complete ten miles. A few days ago I was biking in Cape Cod on the bike path and I couldn't help but smile. The sights were absolutely beautiful. I felt so alive as I was peddling up the hills taking any of my anxiety and frustrations out on the bike. I use to love to run but my body doesn't do well with the impact anymore. On my bike I feel like I am a kid once again. happy and free. With each mile completed I thought about the various stages from my battle with Leukemia. I will never be the same physically or mentally, I continue to push myself forward finding new ways to be the very best me. We ride once again so that more people can be Closer To Free!!!
